ImposterBox operates two distinct platforms with different data practices:
- Learn — the free educational content at
imposterbox.com(learn pages, blogs, chapters). No account or personal data is required. - Game App — the interactive gaming platform at
app.imposterbox.com, which requires sign-in for leaderboards and tournaments.
Please read the relevant section below for your use case. Advertising and cookie practices apply to both platforms.
Learning Platform — No Personal Data Collected
If you are using the Learn section of this website — including imposterbox.com/learn.html, blog articles, and tutorial chapters — we do not collect any personal data from you.
- No account or login is required.
- We do not collect your Google email, name, or profile photo.
- We do not store leaderboard data or social media handles.
- The only data collected is anonymous usage data via Google Analytics and advertising cookies via Google AdSense, both described below.
You can browse all learning content freely without providing any personal information.
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service.
- Application refers to Imposter Box, the software program provided by the Company.
- Company (referred to as "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to Imposter Box.
- Country refers to: Kerala, India.
- Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone, or a tablet.
- Firebase refers to Google's Firebase platform used for authentication and data storage.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Service refers to the Application.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service.
Game App — Personal Data Collection
The following applies only to users of the ImposterBox Game App at app.imposterbox.com. This data is not collected from users of the Learn section.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
We collect the following information when you use the Game App:
- Email address (via Google Sign-In)
- Profile photo (via Google Sign-In)
- Social Media Handles (e.g., Instagram ID) collected optionally for leaderboard verification and tournament prize distribution. We only collect the text handle You provide. We do not have access to Your social media accounts, passwords, or private data.
Usage Data
We may automatically collect information about how you interact with the Game App, including IP address, browser type and version, pages visited and time spent on them, and diagnostic and crash data.
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including our free flutter web course
- To manage Your Account and authentication
- To facilitate gameplay, leaderboard tracking, and platform interactions
- To monitor and analyze Service usage
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues
- To verify winners of tournaments and contact them via Social Media handles
- To comply with legal obligations
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our Service. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. Users can manage their cookie preferences or opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with our website. This helps us improve our Service by providing insights into traffic, user behavior, and site performance.
Data Collected by Google Analytics
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP address)
- Device type, browser type and version
- Referring website or traffic source
- Interactions such as clicks and session duration
How It Works
Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _gid) to collect this data. The
information generated by these cookies is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers which may be located
outside your country. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by its own
privacy and security policies.
We retain Google Analytics data for a period of 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

Opt-Out
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You may also manage your ad preferences via Google Ads Settings.
Data Storage and Security
All user content and associated metadata are stored on Firebase servers with data encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and regular security audits of our infrastructure.
Your Data Protection Rights

Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify You of changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
